Purpose for our finances ‘Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy’ ‘That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate’ ‘Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may hold on eternal life’ (I Tim 6 v 17-19)

Power and our finances Acts 1:8 (Amp) ‘But you shall receive power (ability, efficiency, and might) when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be my witnesses in Jerusalem and all Judea and Samaria and to the ends (the very bounds) of the earth’.

Power and our finances Deuteronomy 8:18 ‘But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day’. (Please read Deuteronomy 8 v 11 – 22 for full context)

Power and our finances Genesis 12 v (Amp) (Paraphased) The call of Abraham to get out (for his own advantage) from his country, from his relatives and from his father’s house. So that God will make him a great nation (generational) and bless him (with abundant favours) and make his name famous and distinguished, so that he can be a blessing! (See also Genesis 13 v 2, 17 v 2, 20 v 16)

Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the Lord upholdeth him with his hands I have been young and now I am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread.
