Hip hop was formed in the 1970’s. Commonly accompanies rapping, or a rhythmic and rhyming speech that is chanted. Famous Hip hop artists: ‘The Message’, Tupac, Jay-Z, 50 cent, Eminem, and Nicki Minaj. Let’s Listen!
Country music originated in the 1920’s. Accompanied by mostly string instruments such as banjos, electric and acoustic guitars, fiddles, and harmonicas. Famous Country artists: Willie Nelson, Dolly Parton, Garth Brooks, and Toby Keith. Let’s listen!
Rock ‘n’ roll originated during the late 1940s and early 1950s! Classic rock and roll is usually played with one or two electric guitars, a string bass or an electric bass guitar, and a drum kit. Famous Rock ‘n’ Roll bands/artists: Elvis Presley, The Rolling Stones, and Led Zeppelin. Let’s listen!
