NAVIANCE: BASIC INSTRUCTIONS FOR SENIORS

Logging-in to NAVIANCE AKA “Family Connection” How to log-in: Students were trained on Naviance during the freshman year. At that time, an account was created using the students address and student id number as the password To log-in, please visit:  Enter your address in the username box. Enter your address in the username box.  Enter your student id in the password box. Enter your student id in the password box.  Please do NOT change your password  If your address has changed, please update your profile in Naviance, changing BOTH your address and username.  See your counselor or Mrs. Sandifer in the CCC if you need assistance  You will need YOUR OWN account. It is advisable to use the same address you will be using for college admissions. If you need to create a new account, visit:    I am a new student who has never logged-in, how do I register? To register, please visit:  Click on “I need to register”  Enter your student id # in the registration box, then click “register”  You should then be directed to a screen where you can enter your address.  Please enter your student id # as the password  Read the privacy statement, then check the “I accept” box.  Click on “Complete Registration” to finish the process

Once you are logged in… 1.READ the Welcome Message that starts with: “Stop! Please Read…” In these instructions, it directs you to create a common app account.“Stop! Please Read…” 2.SET UP your common app account by visiting 3.Return to Naviance and click on the “Document Library” in order to PRINT your instructions  Click on “Forms”  Print the instructions that apply to you: Private/Out of State instructionsand/or CSU/UC/Community College instructions  Print the transcript request form 4.After printing, please carefully FOLLOW the instructions. Teacher Recs Ask teacher in person first, then add on Naviance

College Counseling Appt Info and Deadline: All materials MUST BE SUBMITTED IN PERSON AFTER NAVIANCE IS COMPLETE!! Materials left in counselors box, on the chair, on the desk etc. will be returned to the student. ALL college meetings with your counselor must be completed no later than November 18th if you want a letter of recommendation to be included.
