Is world or second language instruction something that you believe should be included in the elementary program in Mercer Island schools?

If a World Language Program were offered at elementary school, the district would strongly consider Spanish as the target language. Please rate your opinion of this.

If you prefer a target language other than Spanish, please select from the list in the order of preference with number 1 being the highest priority.

If World Languages are not important to you, what improvements to our instructional program do you think should be considered, if any and why? Staff Time Cost More art, science social studies Maintain existing program (time) and library Fully staff special ed. needs Social/emotional curricula Literacy / Assessment Coaches Stop curriculum expansions Middle school program impacts Community Time Cost More art, science, technology (coding), outdoor education Maintain existing K-12 programs Use added resources for different learners/special ed.
