Potato-Growing Process The farmer prepares the ground for growing potatoes by ploughing

Potato-Growing Process The farmer uses a special machine to plant the potatoes. In third-world countries potatoes are still planted by hand

Potato-Growing Process The potatoes then grow in ‘drills’ while the farmer makes sure that weeds and disease do not affect their growth.

Potato-Growing Process After 3 - 4 months the potatoes are then harvested with special machines.

Potato-Growing Process Potatoes are then transported from the farm to the potato processing plant using lorries

Potato-Growing Process At the potato processing plant, the potatoes are picked, graded and packaged ready for sale in our shops and supermarkets

Potato-Growing Process Lorries then transport the potatoes to our shops and supermarkets

Potato-Growing Process The customer then comes along and buys the potatoes
