Get Organized! Be sure to thoroughly research the topic. Create an outline of the presentation. Always start with a rough draft. Keep the final result in mind. Catch the attention of the audience in the beginning. Keep the type of audience in mind.

Basic Format Opener Transition Mission Statement Transition Body Wrap up Open opportunity for questions

Text Layout 6X6 rule: 6 bullets down or 6 words across. Do not mix up different fonts and sizes too much. Text should be easy to read. Should be organized and flow accordingly. Limit the use of capitol letters. To explore more about appropriate presentation texts visit the following websites:

Graphical Design Only add images that reference your text. Color has an impact on the audience; to learn more visit: m/meetingguide_power_color.htmlhttp:// m/meetingguide_power_color.html Include color contrasts Balance the information visually

Oral Presentation The text should only be “markers” for the oral part of the presentation. The text should flow in order to guide the audience as well as the presenter. The oral presentation should be consistent with the PowerPoint.
