Brought to you by Book online at: Sunday 11 October am – 4.30pm Warwickshire Saxophone & Clarinet Day     Venue: Creative Arts Centre, King’s High School, Warwick CV34 4HJ Perform in mass single reed choirs Play in smaller ensembles Learn new technique Explore the basics of playing jazz and improvising ( no jazz improvisation experience necessary, although there will be a few extra ideas for the more experienced players) Perform pieces learned throughout the day in the finale concert Meet other like-minded musicians Use the newly refurbished Creative Arts Centre at King’s High School Visit trade stands including Wood Wind & Reed for instruments and accessories and Alex Preston for repairs Mike Hall heads the Jazz Studies at the RNCM and teaches jazz improvisation, theory, history and saxophone both in the UK and abroad. Director of the RNCM Big Band and Jazz Collective, Mike also maintains a busy performance schedule all over the country. Keith Allen is an experienced clarinet and saxophone player, conductor and adjudicator. Keith has performed with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Shakespeare Company. Keith is the founder of the Birmingham Symphonic Winds and Director of the National Concert Band Festival (NCBF). He is also the clarinet tutor on the annual European Youth Summer Music Course. Danielle Harriss (nee Mason) is a professional saxophone player and educator. Regularly performing as a solo artist, in numerous bands, duos, quartets and theatre orchestras, Danielle has directed sax choirs and countless other ensembles.
