Green Houses How do you reduce energy use in your home? How do you make your home eco-friendly? The answer might be to build a “green” house. “Green” houses look similar to the houses we live in today, with a few noticeable differences. They have solar panels installed on the roofs or have some kind of wind power to generate their own electricity. On sunny or windy days when the house is unoccupied, power is generated and stored in batteries for later use at night, while excess power is fed back into the power grid at a profit. Imagine getting paid by the power company instead of paying the company. Most important, solar energy or wind power is pure, clean energy.

Obviously, the appliances used inside our houses must also be “green” to limit they use and the waste heat they emit. 1.insulated 隔熱的 2.stable 穩定的 3.thereby 因此 = therefore 4.expend in 耗盡 = run out 5.obviously 顯然地 6.appliance 裝置 7.emit 散發
