SUMMER RESEARCH: WEEKLY MEETING Francisco Parente, June 15 th 2015

PREVIOUS GOALS Finish Experiment 14; Start to work on the scripts to recognize Sleep Spindles; Meet with Dave and other summer UG researchers in order to discuss the research accomplishments; Study and run the EEGLab environment. Francisco Parente, June 15 th 2015

ACCOMPLISHMENTS Meeting with Dave and other UG researchers: We met twice last week with Dave to discuss the research accomplishments so far. We talked about Linear Algebra, Sleep Spindle Detection and Experiment 14 issues; Meeting about Recognition System for Sleep Spindles: Dave has taught Lucas and me how to identify sleep and non-sleep stages. We downloaded the EDFbrowser to analyze EEGs (using the.edf files filtered previously in the beginning of the summer). Installed and ran the EEGLAB environment, learning its basic features. Francisco Parente, June 15 th 2015

PLANS FOR THIS WEEK Perform the baseline experiment; Annotate awake, asleep, and drowsy in 100 distinct patients. Start to work on the scripts to recognize Sleep and Non-Sleep States. Francisco Parente, June 15 th 2015
