HIV infection was first detected in Cambodia in 1991; Knowledge of HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs), as well as learning about and taking preventive measures is key to slowing the spread of these destructive diseases. The epidemic is the fastest-growing in all of Asia.
