Culture Diversity Definition  Cultural diversity refers to the differences in culture, especially when comparing minorities and majorities.  Culture diversity includes: 1. Language. 2. Race. 3. Ethnicity. 4. Dress. 5. Religion.

Culture  the ideas, customs, and social behavior of a particular people or society.  Examples of Cultures:  Ethnic/Race.  Disability.  Organizational.  Military.

Diversity  the state or quality of being different or varied.

Respect  admire (someone or something) deeply, as a result of their abilities, qualities, or achievements.

Culture Shock  A condition of confusion and anxiety affecting a person suddenly exposed to an alien culture or milieu.

Multiculturalism  the doctrine that several different cultures (rather than one national culture) can coexist peacefully and equitably in a single country.

Stereotyping  is the act of judging a person or group of people because of the actions or behaviors of others that are similar.

Tolerance  The capacity for or the practice of recognizing and respecting the beliefs or practices of others.

Demographic  a section of the population sharing common characteristics, such as age, sex, class.

Ethnic group  people of the same race or nationality who share a distinctive culture

Migration  movement from one part of something to another.

Culture Clash  conflict arising from the interaction of people with different cultural values.

Assimilation  the state of being assimilated; people of different backgrounds come to see themselves as part of a larger national family.

Ethnocentrism  Belief in the superiority of one's own ethnic group.

Value  the regard that something is held to deserve; the importance, worth, or usefulness of something.

cross cultural communication  is a field of study that looks at how people from differing cultural backgrounds communicate, in similar and different ways among themselves, and how they endeavor to communicate across cultures.
