Exploring Ancient Egypt Gina, Arianna, Mariah Computer 8b 22 December 2005

Geography of Ancient Egypt The Sahara Desert is in the red land which is a dry area. The Nile River is in the black land. The ancient Egypt revolved around the Nile river and the fertile land along its banks.

Jobs and classes of Ancient Egypt The poor people had to build mud bricks for homes and temples. Middle class people where pottery makers, and scribes, and farmers. High class people where priests, and pharaohs.

Writing and Technology The system of writing in Ancient Egypt is hieroglyphics which is written on papyrus. They invented fishing poles, flutes, pipes, drum, rattles, and their own languages.

Great Leaders of Ancient Egypt They were selected by if your royal or a born pharaohs. King Tut was the youngest to die. Nefirtiti was the only women Leader of ancient Egypt

Religion/Gods The pharaohs worshiped Atum in there temples. The poor worshiped Bes in there homes. There is over 100 god and goddess in ancient Egypt.

Animals and food of ancient Egypt They had pigs, goats, ducks, cows, and geese. They grew fig trees, wheat, and barley. They had worshiped the cat more than any other animal.

Art & Artifacts They made the Pharaohs coffins out of gold and they also had pictures on them. They painted their wood with pictures of gods and goddesses. They made statues of their gods, goddesses, and rulers.

Ancient Egypt crafts & trades The Ancient Egyptians had many trades since they were on the Nile River. There trade is very profitable since they had the Nile. they had to make their trade boats by hand though.
