A noun is a person, place, thing, or idea. A noun can work as the subject, direct object, indirect object, object of the preposition, or predicate nominative.

A pronoun is a word that takes the place of a noun.

A preposition is a word or group of words that is used with a noun, pronoun, or noun phrase to show direction, location, or time, or to introduce an object.

An interjection is a spoken word, phrase, or sound that expresses sudden or strong feeling.
