Recycling tyres for your garden Using old tyres as planters in your garden in a great idea. By filling them with a mix of compost and soil, or potting mix, you are creating raised beds. Benefits: The soil is warmer as it is off the ground and the tyres hold in heat. The tyres drain well. It is easy to weed and maintain your garden. You can move the tyres around to redesign your garden if needed. Old tyres are free. Contact a local tyre dealer and I am sure they will glad to see you take some!!
