Did you know? Plastic bags are made from plastic using oil and can take up to 500 years to decay in landfill!! Paper: 2-5 weeks. Banana peel: 3-5 weeks. Orange peels: 6 months. Cotton rags 1-5 months.
REFUSE CO 2 Eco – foot print? Is it fair trade? Is it really needed? Why should we REFUSE to use a product? Is it made to last? For each of the five sub headings give an example of a product and reasons, pro and anti , for the product. Trends / Styles?

Scrappy Challenge: 25 min! Modeling Task: Work in a team and rethink, reuse used & scrap materials: plastic bottles & bags, aluminum cans, paper & cardboard, drinks carton, etc. into an environmentally friendly new Product (a children’s toy, e.g. a car, a rocket, a spaceship, etc.). Model your idea/s and think how you will explain them to the group later. Be bold & unique! Problem solving: reuse materials are great..! .
