NEW PURPOSES FOR OLD BUILDINGS

 Every month four Episcopal Churches close their doors for good.  They close for lack of financial sustainability and the people power to manage the facility.  They close for lack of energy to maintain worship/sense of mission and purpose.

 Ten year decline in active membership of 16%  Ten year decline in Average Sunday Attendance of 23%  Ten year decline in Plate/Pledge of 12.7%

 Membership: Declined overall by 27%. Thirteen churches reported increases between 2001 and  Average Sunday Attendance: Declined overall by 35%. Seven churches reported increases between 2001 and  Plate/Pledge: Overall $212,731 (2%) increase in plate/pledge between 2001 and 2010 due to increases reported by 28 out of 68 churches between 2001 and 2010.

 In 2010 it cost approximately $123 to purchase the same goods and services purchased in 2001 for $100.
