Asia’s “economic tigers” have rapidly growing economies due to three factors:  A large supply of cheap labor.  Manufacture of high-tech products.  Aggressive export of goods. The “Asian Tigers” Japan China Taiwan South Korea India

Asian economies have been growing rapidly.

Varied economies in the region ranging from subsistence/commercial agriculture to high-tech industrial manufacturing.

Newly industrialized countries: South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore Singapore

China in transition from a centrally planned economy.

The “Green Revolution” brought advances in agriculture and technology which led to greater food production.
