Introducing… Who are young TEC? a voluntary ‘networking’ young organisation years keen to participate in a professional national development programme want to learn from ‘famous and infamous’ industry mentors able to be a self managed and financial organisation

How did young TEC come about? ITOC underwent a brand and name change after 40 years as Inbound Tour Operators Council Australia has similar organisation and Chief Executive visited last year and could see value of a younger organisation here Need to re-invigorate industry and try to capture/ retain more younger people to industry Provide a mentoring programme for under 36 years

What are the associated costs? young TEC is free for members of the Tourism Export Council For non members there will be a small charge of $75 incl gst per annum. Invoice date to be advised. This may be paid for by employers and/or paid personally by individual For networking functions, we are hopeful of sponsorship and support from within the membership but some F & B personal charges will be incurred Special functions with guest speakers or activities may incur a small charge eg. Bridgeclimb, Cruise ship visit, dinner speakers An 8 week professional development programme will have a separate cost associated to it of a few hundred dollars (2013) The young TEC committee/team will do their best to keep costs to a minimum
