5 “ Yet you, his son, Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, even though you knew all this, 23 but you have exalted yourself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of His house before you, and you and your nobles, your wives and your concubines have been drinking wine from them; and you have praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood and stone, which do not see, hear or understand. … ”

6 Daniel 5:22-31 “ …But the God in whose hand are your life-breath and your ways, you have not glorified. [24] "Then the hand was sent from Him and this inscription was written out. [25] "Now this is the inscription that was written out: 'MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN.' [26] "This is the interpretation of the message: 'MENE'— God has numbered your kingdom and put an end to it. … ”

7 Daniel 5:22-31 “ …[27] " 'TEKEL'—you have been weighed on the scales and found deficient. [28] " 'PERES'—your kingdom has been divided and given over to the Medes and Persians." [29] Then Belshazzar gave orders, and they clothed Daniel with purple and put a necklace of gold around his neck, and issued a proclamation concerning him that he now had authority as the third ruler in the kingdom. … ”

11 Increase our Spiritual Mindedness Enrich our minds with proper thinking –P–Philippians 4:8

14 Increase our Spiritual Mindedness Bring every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ –2–2 Corinthians 10:5 “ We are destroying speculations and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ, ”

15 Increase our Spiritual Mindedness Set our minds on things above –C–Colossians 3:1-2 “ Therefore if you have been raised up with Christ, keep seeking the things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. [2] Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. ”

16 Increase our Spiritual Mindedness Meditate on spiritual things –P–Psalm 19:14 “ Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my rock and my Redeemer. ”

26 Attending Every Service Some are not attending on Sunday nights and Wednesday nights. –C–Can you think of a better way to improve during the coming year? –I–It is our duty to attend every service Hebrews 10:25

29 Promote Love among our Brethren God commands us to love one another fervently with a pure heart –1–1 Peter 1:22 “ Since you have in obedience to the truth purified your souls for a sincere love of the brethren, fervently love one another from the heart, ”

30 Promote Love among our Brethren God commands us to love one another –A–Above all else, we should have fervent love for each other 1 Peter 4:8 “ Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins. ”

31 Promote Love among our Brethren God commands us to love one another –A–Above all else, we should have fervent love for each other Colossians 3:14 “ Beyond all these things put on love, which is the perfect bond of unity. ”

34 Promote Love among our Brethren One way to show love is to be alert to the needs of others. –W–Will we be like those on the judgment day who said, " Lord, when did we see you... “ Matthew 25:41-46

35 Matthew 25:41-46 “ Then He will also say to those on His left, 'Depart from Me, accursed ones, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels; [42] for I was hungry, and you gave Me nothing to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me nothing to drink; [43] I was a stranger, and you did not invite Me in; naked, and you did not clothe Me; sick, and in prison, and you did not visit Me.' … ”

36 Matthew 25:41-46 “ …[44] "Then they themselves also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not take care of You?' [45] "Then He will answer them, 'Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to Me.' [46] "These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life." ”

37 Promote Love among our Brethren One way to show love is to be alert to the needs of others. –O–Often, we do not see the needs of others because we are not alert; we do not notice when they have needs.

38 Promote Love among our Brethren May the Lord help us to increase and abound in love –1–1 Thessalonians 3:12-13

39 1 Thessalonians 3:12-13 “ and may the Lord cause you to increase and abound in love for one another, and for all people, just as we also do for you; [13] so that He may establish your hearts without blame in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all His saints. ”

40 Promote Love among our Brethren May the Lord help us to increase and abound in love –W–We should remember the love of Christ, and try to do likewise 1 John 3:16 “ We know love by this, that He laid down His life for us; and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. ”
