The New Primary Curriculum – The vision for Primary Schools For every child a world class education that prepares them for 21st Century Every school working in partnership, integrating services, sharing expertise because no school can do it alone Every school improving, rapid intervention Every school and school leader supported In every school, a well-led and highly- skilled workforce

World Class Primaries Programme The advent of the new primary curriculum from September 2011 also provides an excellent mechanism to facilitate more collaborative working between schools, and the preparation for the introduction of the new curriculum will enable primary schools to think about the quality of their teaching and learning, and what expertise they need to deliver a broader curriculum. Collaborative working with other primary schools will enable the sharing of such expertise, the spreading of good practice and the more effective use of resources. Ed Balls 4 th December 2009
