Japan: The Land of the Rising Sun Amaterasu is the goddess of the sun

A few facts:  Japan is an archipelago.  There are 4 large islands.  Honshu is the largest island. 80% of the people live here.

The Ring of Fire

Japan: people and culture  127 million people live in Japan  Japan is the size of California. Problems: -shortage of housing causes high prices. -two or three families share one apartment.

Capsule Hotels:

Nature and religion…  The Japanese love nature.  Grow miniature gardens.  Majority of Japanese are Buddhist.  This religions teaches that people should seek spiritual enlightenment or knowledge by living selflessly and modestly.
