Farming and animals in Tudor times.

The Introduction This is a PowerPoint about Tudor animals and farming. We chose to do a PowerPoint on animals and farming in the Tudor times because we all like animals and all have pets.

Farming Tudor tools A Farmer’s life Farmed plants

Farming tools Farmers used sticks to get acorns and olives down from trees. Women wore special shoes called patterns that were used to be able to walk in the mud so shoes didn’t get dirty. Farmers wives used sticks to carry dead chickens to market to sell.

Farmed plants Farmers didn’t plant potatoes even though they had been discovered 20 years before because they were considered deadly!!!!! They grew food either for a whole village, half of London or just their own family but are all considered farmers .

Farmers life The wife will slave in the kitchen making something to eat with the little food, herbs and a tiny bit of meat they would have. A common meal would be pottage which taste like porridge with herbs . And would store meat by covering it with salt.
