 In 1982 the department of health determined they were no longer going to maintain a state database for reporting PH information.  In April 1983, the general design was complete and a letter was sent by Morrison County to all counties to see who was interested in pooling resources to complete the system  Between April and October of 1983, thirteen counties joined together to complete the development of the System. Cass, Todd and Wadena Community Health Services were the first to join.

Rules Regulation of MCCC- CHS User Group Article VI Section 1-  “PH-Doc and all other software managed by the CHS User Group is the proprietary intellectual property of MCCC and, these participants and all of their officials, officers, staff, contractors, volunteers and others shall not sell, license, distribute, or otherwise transfer MCCC’s source or object code. External distribution outside of agency is consider a violation without MCCC permissions. Assure staff aware of this.

Purpose is to provide direction to the MCCC Executive Committee  Vendor selection, contracts  Determine PH Doc pricing and licensing fees  To determine and approve changes, modifications, enhancements to the software  To identify the needs for and requirements of new software applications  To conduct business as necessary to the operation of the User Group

 Who should attend the meetings? High levels positions-Directors, IT, Supervisors, Alternates in writing  What happens at these meetings? Major business decisions, voting, committee updates, key information sharing.  Why do we need to attend? Keep informed, give input, get involved.

 Each Member Agency participating is entitled to one vote.  Quorum exits when 50% plus one (1) of the agencies or elected representative are present at duly called meeting which is needed to conduct business at CHS User Group. Current is 16 member agencies.

 Chair, Vice Chair, Recording Secretary, General Representatives, Past Chair, and At Large Members. On rotating basis speadsheet.  Responsible for Annual Budget, agenda for CHS User Group meetings, issues and updates to CHS User Group.  Conduct needed business between User Group meetings.

 Committees made up of at least 7 Owner Agencies.  Committee responsible for notice, agendas, attendance and minutes.  Important Deadline for Information/ Meeting Notes- Due to MCCC (10) business days before meeting postings.

Terri Oliver & Co-Chair Open  Works to ensure agencies have access to the training needed to utilize the system to support PH practice.  Develops:  Training strategies for new staff  Refresher trainings  New release changes  Mentorship  Who should be in this committee?
