Inter Agency meetings Information was gathered through meetings and telephone conversations. Meetings were held between 20 th March and 01 st April.

Stakeholders involved Statistical Office Environmental Services Unit (Min. of Health). National Park, Rivers and beaches Authority. Ministry of tourism ( Statistical Department). Ministry of Agriculture (Statistical Dept.). St. Vincent Electricity Services (VINLEC).

Stakeholders Involved Forestry Department (Min. of Agriculture). Central Water & Sewage Authority (CWSA). Solid waste management unit (CWSA).

Discussions Data collected. Availability of data. Sharing and Dissemination of data. Inter agency collaboration. Aspects to improving data collection and availability. Available publications, studies and surveys.

Indicators obtained/expected to be obtained Water – fresh water abstraction, total water uses, population connected to waste water treatment, fresh water available for use. Waste – generation of waste by source, management of hazardous waste, management of municipal waste, composition of municipal waste. Air – emissions Natural Disasters by year.

Indicators obtained/expected to be obtained Biodiversity – Protected areas as percentage of total area, proportion of marine and terrestrial areas protected

No date for follow up meeting as yet. The Staff of the Statistical Office is Currently having discussions.

Progress made on work plan Meetings or telephone conversation held with stakeholders. Staff members assigned to environmental statistics. Publication of environmental Statistics report, ( soon to be on an annual basis).

Challenges faced Timely dissemination of data. No Official MOU’s between stakeholders. Limited staff. Staff rotation affects Data Availability.
