Service area includes 15 communities with population of over half a million persons. Approx. 11,000 FTES, 25,000 students unduplicated headcount with more than 50% younger than 24 years old.

In 2000, the Antelope Valley Math-Science Engineering- Technology Consortium MSET was formed and has since morphed into RAVE: Revolutionizing Antelope Valley Education CSU Fresno, CSU Long Beach, Cal Poly Pomona establish local undergraduate and graduate engineering programs while CSU Bakersfield provides programs in Teacher Preparation and Business
