What Is a Search Engine? Search engines don’t actually search the Web. They search a database. The database is created using programs called spiders which search full text of web sites. The sites are then indexed.

In Closing… I hope you learned something this year, but I wish we could have done more. I know it has been difficult at times, due to computer problems, network issues, and classroom dynamics among other things. In the future, remember that you are in control of your destiny.
