Mission Statement Our company’s mission is to bring variety of foreign horticulture to the United States to enrich the American house’s with a diversity of beauty. We strive to ensure that our products are in the best health and interest of the customer.

BlueJacket is a horticulture broker located in Harrisburg PA. We import over a million different types of seeds, flowers, and small plants from green house growers and farmers from countries in Asia and Europe. Our customers are nursery's, garden, shops, and small hardware stores. After we import our product into the country we keep our product in our warehouse; with the plants, flowers and some of the seed in a climate that’s a little above room temperature. The rest of the seed is stored in a giant walk in freezer at a climate below 55 degrees.

Website The home page of our website is user friendly; with tabs at the top screen displaying: History, customer service, product catalog, and orders. BlueJacket’s online catalog has a list of every product that we carry, with a picture of the specific product next to it. There is a picture of the seed before and after, when it is full bloom. When a customer places an order, he or she goes to our online cataloge located on our website at copies the identification number of that product and paste it onto our order form that is located at the bottom of the catalog. The service provider we decided to use is network solutions because they have unlimited data space, unlimited data transfer, we were given a free domain name, free up time reliability, and 24/7 real person support, with a monthly cost of $ also includes domain provider. BlueJacket’s in-house network is the Comcast business class deluxe plan, which gives us more security than wireless, Gives us downloading speed up to 50bps and is 32x faster than T1.

Hardware Mainframe- The PowerEdge M910 has a memory of 192GB with an operating system of a Suse linx. Has a sysmantec backup, which significantly cuts system recovery time when the system crashes. All of our data, product information, customer information, employee information, and most important our invoices. To keep track of our product when it comes in and goes out of the company we use the Wasp WDI4500 2D barcode scanner. This scanner allows to scan fifteen feet away and has a laser scanner. Adds barcode data to document, spreadsheets and database rapidly.

BlueJackets’ employees use the IBM Express system X3100 M4 Tower. Comes with 32 GB memory, Microsoft Office 2008, Microsoft Windows, Red Hat linx, and Suse Linx. The Monitor that are going to use with the IBM Towers are HP 2011x 20” LED Monitor. They are slim and sleek, easy on the human eyes, and comes with a one year warranty. Our storage system is an IBM Half high LTO Gen 5 External SAS Tape Drive 3628L5X. It has a three year warranty. Also it has a Half-height external Cartridge capacity : 3.0TB and up to 280 MBps.

Software The payroll software that BlueJacket is using is Intuit QuickBooks payroll enhanced. This software allows us to have unlimited employees, to create our own pay checks and to print paychecks. Also comes with a step by step guide. It calculates payroll taxes and has completed payroll tax forms. QuickBooks provides a 24/7 support system. The software that is used for the scanners is Wasp inventory control. This software tracks current inventory, reduces labor cost, eliminates stock-outs and over stock, creates your own barcodes, and comes with free technical support. Our invoice software is Xin invoice software. It is simple and easy to use. It is capable of tracking customer payment status. It supports multiple tax rates and regional state taxes. Also it can define your own tax rates and types for other countries.

Security Software MCafee software has a two way firewall, wireless network protection. Can help us monitor the employees in the company. Has the optional online back up. It can quicky identify, correlate, and remediate threats, mitigating risks to information and infrastructure.
