Workers’ Credit Union- A Year to Remember! “100-Year Anniversary” Celebration “100-Year Anniversary” Celebration Launch of our Give Back Program Became a “BILLION $$” Credit Union Core Conversion & CONNECTIONS Core Conversion & CONNECTIONS

100-Year Anniversary On April 8, 1914 John Suominen a Finnish Immigrant shared his vision with a small group of Finnish workers Workers’ CU Charter was signed on April 17, 1914 & officially opened their doors to its first Members with a deposit of $5.00 We had 2 employees – John & Martha Suominen

Workers’ Credit Union Success Story Workers’ CU has flourished and grown since its inception surviving the the Great Depression, recessions & many other financially challenging years We now have 74,000 members, 15 Branches & will open our 16 th Branch in 2015 and 240 employees. In April of 2014 we celebrated 100 Years of: “Doing What’s Right for our Members.” AND

Billion $$$$$ Credit Union In 2014, we also celebrated another noteworthy milestone in our history by becoming a “BILLION $$$$” Credit Union!!

THE GIVE BACK In February 2014 we launched our First Annual $$$$$ GIVE BAC K PROGRAM $$$$$ Sharing our success with others We gave back $2 MILLION Dollars to our members & the communities they live in (our Finnish founding fathers would be proud!)

CONVERSION After a year of preparation along with the implementation of the CONNECTIONS ONLINE initiative that enabled us to: Plan & execute our goals & objectives Maintain our focus & Track our progress On In July 11 th, we successfully converted our core processing system to enhance our services to our members.

Dialog Best Practices Three specific areas where Connections has had great success and a powerful impact are: 1)In our Monthly Board of Directors Meeting Packages; 2)In the implementation process from organizational dialogs to individual dialogs and 3) In our Branch Dialogs

Board Package & Connections The Senior Management Team holds their Organizational Meetings every month 1 week prior to the Board of Directors Meetings The results of these Dialogs is used as the primary piece for each month’s Board Package

Board Package The key parts of the Dialog contained in the Board Package are 1)Organization Summary with recap of Organizational Dialog Meeting 2)Strategic Discussions 3)Corporate Culture and Core Value 4)Balanced Score Card goals & metrics 5)Strategic Initiatives / 7 new Projects

Organizational Dialog to Individual- Three Step Plan 1) The Senior Management Team chose to transition to individual dialogs first so they could learn and experience it for themselves 2) The 2 nd phase will be to introduce individual dialogs to their direct reports ( middle management. 3) The third step will be for the Department Managers to implement it with their staff

BRANCH DIALOGS One of our biggest successes with Dialogs has been with our Branches We have their total buy-in and excitement Branch Dialogs have provided a venue for our frontline staff to share their successes & core value stories that come from their direct contact with our members and Participate in Celebrations & recognitions

RECOGNIZE & CELEBRATE!! One of the ways Connections has helped us recognize, celebrate our employees successes is with: PINS!!!! Star of the Month Pin Making a Difference Pin Project Completion Pin Core Conversion Pin Shadow Box Our Marketing Department designed a special Shadow Box for every employee to display his/her pins.

CONNECTIONS ONLINE Our implementation of Connections Dialogs has helped us achieve all these successes this year by: Improving communication among employees Enhancing our ability to assign, track & manage key initiatives & projects ( 100 th year Anniversary celebration, the Give Back Program & the Conversion)!

And so the dialogs will continue to: We have transitioned our dialoging from Organizational Dialogs to middle management and will be moving towards incorporating individual dialogs into our daily culture to: Improve communications between departments, managers and their staff Increase accountability Provide Clear & Specific goals & timelines and SUCCESSES! Recognize & celebrate More SUCCESSES!

WHAT A YEAR IT HAS BEEN! And…. we look forward to continued growth and success in partnership with Connections Online !!!!!
