Executive Leadership Roundtable SkyStream Community Involvement Program May 3, 2005 Jim Olson

SkyStream – EF History  Charter member since 1998  Donated company stock  Ongoing donation of space in SkyStream building  Occasional help with recruiting new companies

SkyStream CI Program Overview  Types of Activities Employee volunteers on CI team Usually onsite volunteer activities Clothing/food/backpack drives  2-3 Events Per Quarter  Focus Areas Education Back to School Drive with RAFT and Family Giving Tree Donate volunteer hours and materials to RAFT Human Services Second Harvest Food Bank Emergency Housing Consortium Habitat for Humanity Environmental Coastal Clean-up Company recycling program  Business Practices Top down approach Team building component EF in our facility

SkyStream CI Decision Process  Supports SkyStream values  Benefits include identification with community, fostering teamwork, balanced life  No formal expected outcomes (except involvement)  No formal measurement process but makes us a “complete company” to employees and prospective employees

Other CI Considerations  CI team determines need relative to other opportunities  CI team surveys employee interest, and availability  CEO involvement is important  I try to contribute something to most events  Favorite activities: Habitat for Humanity Second Harvest Serving meals to the homeless  Don’t participate when… Events not well organized Event is “PR event” for another company CI team doesn’t support
