Funding the Power Sustainable Energy Financing Project – Sustainable Energy Financing Project (SEFP) is a World Bank initiative available in Fiji – Applicable to investment in approved RE & EE technology – SEFP loans managed by ANZ Carbon offset programs – ANZ requirement est. 200,000 tCO2 offsets (circa 2006 report for A & NZ) – Cost effectiveness of generating carbon offsets from diesel dependent Pacific (equates to 50 million litres of diesel displaced)

Trading Sustainability Fiji has half the “ecological foot-print” of Australia & NZ (but twice the Pacific average) – Lower carbon product & services Young soil linked to health benefits – Example: Selenium link to Cancer (Lancet 2000) High wellbeing/happiness – Fiji is around three times happier than Australia & NZ (Happy Planet Index 2006)
