 1960  Brazil’s capital moved to Brand New City  This year NASA sent up ECHO, the first communications satellite to be seen with the naked eye.

 1961  Berlin Wall was built  Adolf Eichmann on Trail for Role in Holocaust  John F Kennedy moves into the White House. He gives his famous speech - "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country.“

 1962  First person was killed trying to cross the Berlin Wall  Storm in Hamburg, kills 265  K-Mart opens

 1963  Martin Luther King Jr. made his “ I Have A Dream” speech

 1964  Beatles came popular in the U.S  Civil Rights Act was passed  This was the first year the cigarette boxes had a warning printed on it "Smoking can be hazardous to your health". It had not occurred to the US government to give the warning that smoking lead to cancer and lung problems.

 1965  New York City’s great black out  U.S sends troop to Vietnam  The Jungle War started

 The 1960’s was the decide of the “Smiley face”  The skateboard started in the 1960’s  It started because surfers in California that got wooden planks and a pairs of skates and put the pairs of roller skates on the bottom of there wooden planks  Other things this decide was called because of the different events that happen in it  " The Space Race "  " Cuban Missile Crisis"  " Continuing Cold War"  "Kennedy Assassination"  " Martin Luther King"  "Vietnam"  "Civil Rights and Riots"  "Hippies and Flower Power“  "The Beatles and Rock and Roll"

 The Apollo 11 mission on July 20,1969 brought Neil Alden Armstrong and Edwin Eugene 'Buzz' Aldrin, Jr. back to the earth from the moon safely. They were the first humans on the moon.  John Glenn was the first man to orbit the moon in the 1963’s.  The Civil Rights movement made many changes during the 1960’s.  John F. Kenny became the 36 th president  Martin Luther King and John F Kennedy were assassinated.  The Vietnam War  Beatles arrival in the U.S  1963 Martin Luther King Jr. gave “I have a Dream Speech”

 New house in 1960 was $12,700.00, but by 1969 it was $15,  The average income in 1960 was $5, by 1969 it was $8,

Joe doll for the boys was famous in this time.  The troll or the Dammit doll was a good luck symbol for all ages during this time.  California surfers took to skateboards as a way to stay fit out of season, and by 1963, the fad had spread across the country.
