MY ROAD TRIP Shamarah Johnson CPS Drivers Education January.23 rd.2015

LOCATIONS FOR ROAD-TRIP (Left) Location A: Raleigh, North Carolina. (Right) Location B: Times Square, New York.

TRAVEL PLANS  Purpose of Trip- In this trip I plan to go to Raleigh, North Carolina to visit my Sister and then drive up to New York to take a tourism visit.  Destionation- My destination is to Raleigh, NC & Times Square, NY resulting in approximate total of 4,184 miles total.  Number of People Traveling- The Number of People included in the travel will be 2.  Season of Travel- Season of travel will be Summer. This will be the season of travel to make driving conditions more easier than winter or Other weather conditions.  Make & Model Of Vehicle- Vehicle of Choice: 2015 Honda Fit I choose a Honda Fit because its MPG is 33 in the city & 41 on the highway. It also spacious allowing you to fold down the rear seat, open up the entire floor space of the car by folding the sides, and even convert the inside into a large couch by folding the front seat backs down to make a giant flat surface, giving more space to place items.

PRE-TRIP Car Preparations  Air Conditioning Air-Flow  Lights  Gas  Tires  Engine Oil  Lights  Safety Items ( Blankets, Food, Jumper Cables, Flashlight, Radio, etc.) Personal Preparations  Identification & Driving Specifics  Necessary Electronics (Phone Chargers, GPS, Etc.)  Cash  Travel Items ( Suitcases, Bags, blankets, Etc.)  Have Energy (Sleep, Food, etc.)

TRAVEL Location A: Raleigh, North Carolina Time: Approx. 12 Hours 810 Miles Location B: Times Square, New York Time: Approx. 8 Hours (Departure From Raleigh) 490 Miles Totals Total Miles: Approx Route To Location A: 1-77 S Route to Location B: 1-95 N Back to Chicago: 1-80 W Total Miles per day: About 697 Miles
