Echo Boomers represent a long term opportunity for housing recovery but they are struggling in job market and the present economic environment. According to NAR Survey 2011 profile of home buyers/sellers year olds represent 31% of all recent purchases. Echo Boomers are more racially and ethnically diversified than Baby Boomers (65% of the Baby Boomers are, and 55% of Echo Boomers are Caucasians).
