START OF SCHOOL Students will be allowed to sit outside of their classrooms, beginning at 7:00. If he/she arrive earlier, they must report to the cafeteria. Students are allowed to have breakfast every morning, up until 7:25 when the bell rings. The tardy bell rings at 7:30, and if your child is tardy, you need to sign them in at the office.

ATTENDANCE Please try and have your child here on time, and every day! If your child is absent, please send a medical excuse, or handwritten note to turn in to the office. If your child is absent or tardy, you will be receiving a phone call from a faculty member, to make sure all is well.

SPECIAL TEACHERS Coach Z-PE Ms. Tilton-Music Ms. Brown-Computer Lab Ms. Thurston-Librarian If you have questions or concerns, you may contact them directly via or calling the school

BEHAVIOR MANAGEMENT I use the No David behavior chart to maintain discipline throughout the day. Every student start on Good. If I have to redirect an unwanted behavior a 2 nd time the student will move their clip to Oops! If the behavior continues the student will move their clip to Oh No! If the student remains on Oh No! at the end of the day I will not it in their planner.

DAILY TAKE HOME FOLDER Please check your child’s orange folder daily. This folder is to ensure that you are informed on a daily basis of not only your child’s behavior but to communicate with you on what is going on at the school. Flyers pile up so please be sure to remove papers that are to stay home and to complete the papers that need to be returned.

HOMEWORK Beginning next week homework will consist of: Daily Reading Kindergarten Sight Word List. Daily Math Skills Daily Writing Skills A homework folder with the for the week will be sent home every Monday and will be returned completed on Friday. As the year progress the homework increase in difficulty.

BIRTHDAYS AND PARTIES If your child is having a birthday party, invitations may be brought to school only if they are given to the entire class. If you would like to celebrate in the classroom, the food item must be store bought and should not contain any kind of nuts (due to allergies). The teacher must know in advance if you are bringing in a birthday treat for the class, so we can plan our day accordingly. We will celebrate with your child, at the end of the day. We will have three parties this school year (Christmas, Valentine’s, End of Year) where non nutritional foods will be allowed.

PTO/VOLUNTEERS If you would like to be a member of PTO, please fill out form and pay dues. The class with the most parents involved will win a pizza party!! Check your class gumball machine in the hallway. If you wish to volunteer for field trips, classroom activities, or parties, you must be cleared through the district. You may go to the Judson ISD website-Resources for Parents-Volunteering. You may also sign in at the office, and get assistance with this process at the Parent Center.

DISMISSAL The school day ends at 2:30. If there is a change in the way that your child gets home from school, you must send a note to the teacher on the morning of the change. If the teacher does not receive the note, your child will go home the way you instructed on their information card. This is for the safety of your child.

QUESTIONS You can contact me through by phone or by note in the daily folder.
