Your employment contract must respect the law. Just because something is written in your contract doesn’t mean it’s legal. The employer must supply work uniforms at no cost to employees. Employers are allowed to make their employees wear a uniform. A work uniform is clothing that clearly identifies a company and is worn by all employees. People who had too much to drink or took drugs can be accused of impaired driving if they are in a position to start the car. This can happen even if they are asleep on the back seat, don’t have the keys in their pocket, or don’t plan on starting the car. A customs officer is allowed to ask people about their criminal histories before letting them enter the country. NEVER LIE TO A CUSTOMS OFFICER. Discrimination is not allowed during the hiring process. Questions about your religion, disability, intention to have children, age, political opinions, or sexual orientation are NOT ALLOWED unless the question is important for doing the job. Employees don’t usually have to pay for cups they break at work. The same rule applies to mistakes at the cash register.
