LIONS CLUBS INTERNATIONALFirst Meeting Power point 14 Today We Will Discuss what makes this community special Identify the types of projects that might be of interest to the members Begin to discuss how we can make a difference Discuss which project might be a good 1 st project for the new club Discuss what we need to do to get started

What Makes This Community Special?

What Are The Needs Within The Community? How Do You Want To Make A Difference?

Finding a Mission or Purpose for the New Club What Does Our Community Need That We Can Do?

LIONS CLUBS INTERNATIONALFirst Meeting Power point 18 How Do We Address These Needs? Charter a club branch or a new Lions club Elect officers Entrance fees US$30.00 charter/initiation fee per person (one-time charge) to cover charter supplies and materials Annual Dues are approximately US$5.00 to US$7.00 a month Actual dues amount is set by the club members The fees cover the administrative expenses of the club and club, district, multiple district and international dues It is the policy of Lions Clubs International that ALL administrative costs are covered by member dues so that 100% of the funds raised by the club can go to fund needed projects.

LIONS CLUBS INTERNATIONALFirst Meeting Power point 19 Next Meeting Bring other people who might be interested in the projects that we mentioned. Further discuss possible projects and begin to identify which project we can do first. Determine the date, time and location of regular meetings. Complete the charter application.

LIONS CLUBS INTERNATIONALFirst Meeting Power point 20 Next Meeting When should we meet again? Date? Time? Is there a better location or should we meet here?

See You Soon! Thank You!
