You ask and do not receive, because you ask wrongly, to spend it on your passions

Passions= Hedonon Endless pursuit of pleasure In the belief it will satisfy

When God becomes A means to an end He ceases to be God And his gifts become my idolatry

Becomes all about me Making a god out of the gift And a slave out of God

And an enemy out of anyone Who has more Or is in the way

And yet…Jesus says to ask But the joy is in him Not his gifts Because motives matter

Is it OK to ask for things For yourself? "I never pray for myself" Then you're too spiritual For Jesus
