Presentation transcript:

ev14a Interactive Session 4 u Tuesday, July 17 7pm to 10pm u Build a sqa plan for the dental office software u Assume a 3-person, development team, a separate 2-person, test team, and a project manager above the dev team’s manager u Assume a reasonable set of company standards and a reasonable set of project documents

ev14a SQA Plan u This is a example of an SQA plan. u See lecture page for link

ev14a Final Exam Preview Final Exam, Thursday, July 26

ev14a Earned Value Analysis Basing Progress on Percentage of Estimated Effort

ev14a Basic Measures (1) u Budgeted Cost of Work(BCW): the estimated effort for each work task. u Budget at Completion (BAC): the sum of each BCW and thus the estimate of the total effort for the project u Planned Value (PV): the percentage of the total estimated effort that is assigned to a particular work task. PV = BCW/BAC

ev14a Basic Measures (2) u Budgeted Cost of Work Scheduled (BCWS): the sum of the estimated effort for each work task that was scheduled to be competed by the specified time. u Budgeted Cost of Work Performed (BCWP): the sum of the estimated efforts for the work tasks that have been completed by the specified time.

ev14a Basic Measures (3) u Actual Cost of Work Performed (ACWP): the sum of the actual efforts for the work tasks that have been completed.

ev14a Progress Indicators (1) u Earned Value(EV)= BCWP/BAC = the sum of the PV’s for all completed work tasks u Schedule Performance Index (SPI) = BCWP/BCWS u Schedule Variance (SV) = BCWP – BCWS

ev14a Progress Indicators (2) u Percent Complete (PC) = BCWP/BAC u Cost Performance Index (CPI) = BCWP/ACWP u Cost Variance (CV) = BCWP – ACWP
