Math study skills

2,000,000 X ,000,000 I multiplied the number of ladybugs by the number of insects one ladybug can eat in day to find the total number of insects eaten in one day

Then I found out how many days were in June, July, and August.

600,000,000 X ,200,000,000 Next I multiplied the number of insects eaten in one day by the total number of days the ladybugs were eating in Cali.

The two million ladybugs ate 55,200,000,000 insects in the three months they were in California. I figured this out by first finding out how many insects the two million ladybugs could eat in one day. 4

Then I figured out how many days they were eating the bugs. Finally, I multiplied the number of bugs eaten in one day by the total number of days. 4

The number is really big, but that makes sense in this situation. 5
