ASSIGNMENTS (WEEK ONE) WE WILL FOCUS ON THE SAME 5 WORDS FOR 2 WEEKS.  Monday: Define the five words  Tuesday: Thinking map with at least 3 of the words  Wednesday: 5-10 students will present some sort of visual image for the 5 words  Thursday: Fill in the blank questions using context clues and knowledge of the word  Friday: 5-10 students will act out the words

WEEK TWO  Monday: circle the correct word using context clues and knowledge of the word  Tuesday: Thinking map with at least 3 of the words  Wednesday: Journal writing using the 5 words  Thursday: Review  Friday: Test

THURSDAY CHOOSE THE VOCABULARY WORD THAT BEST COMPLETES THE FOLLOWING SENTENCES. MONDAY CHOOSE THE VOCABULARY WORD THAT BEST COMPLETES THE FOLLOWING SENTENCES. COPY THE WHOLE SENTENCE IN YOUR JOURNAL.  Are we going to allow minor disagreements to (disrupt, alight) the club that we have worked so hard to organize?  For three generations their family has formed one of the leading automotive (resume, dynasties) of this country.  The flight attendant asked the passengers to make sure that they had all their personal belongings before (disrupting, alighting) from the aircraft.  The principal asked the students not to hang around in front of the houses and other buildings (adjacent to, resume) the school.  The administration had no major scandals, but it was also (barren, dynasties) of outstanding accomplishments.
