Welcome to Entrepreneurship Ms. Parks 4 th Block

Class Objectives  Define and describe an Entrepreneur  Develop a Business Plan  Identify and Meet a Market Need  Market your business  Distribution, Promotion and Selling of your product or service  Locate and Set Up your business  Plan and Track your Finances  Analyze your risk factors  Future growth predictions

Class Rules  BRING A POSITIVE ATTITUDE TO CLASS EVERYDAY!  Respect everyone and everything in the lab at all times!  All work is to be completed on time and in its entirety.  You must arrive in class on time. All tardiness will be handled in accordance with school policy.  Students will no copy, use or print another student’s work. This constitutes cheating and will result in a zero for the student(s) involved, a call will be made to parent(s), and a referral sent to an administrator.  No student will bring unauthorized software or disk(s) from outside of the classroom.

Grading Scale  Classwork 25%  Homework 25%  Projects 25%  Tests 25% (Participation is key to getting a good grade in this class!! Get involved in discussions and have fun with all group work and projects.)

Entrepreneurship When we think of Entrepreneurship we automatically think of making big money!!

But the truth is…..

It’s about a lot more than that!  Being your own boss.  Having something that you created be a success.  Sense of security for you and your family.

Entrepreneurship by definition means: Process of running a business of one’s own
