Why are two-year colleges important? ~1100 two-year colleges in the US 44% of all U.S. undergraduates attend 2YCs. 1 Of all undergraduate students, 54% of Native Americans, 51% of Hispanics, 45% of Asian/Pacific Islanders, and 44% of Blacks attend 2YCs. 1 At some 4YCs, >50% of geoscience majors are transfer students from 2YCs 1 American Association of Community Colleges
