Three examples of variety

Variety provides contrast to harmony and unity If this is harmony, then variety might be something like this.

This dangle bracelet is another example of how using a variety of beads add interest and excitement to a design. The chain full of dangles allows this bracelet to fit almost any size wrist--just hook your clasp onto the link that feels most comfortable.

Contrast in the painting on the right is much more subtle. Contrast this painting is in texture. Notice the hard texture on the fence as contrasted with the softness of the butterflies and the kittens. Also a contrast exists between the soil and the foliage.

The way the colors are in a pattern and in different shapes spread out.

The way the water colors are painted on and the colors used.

The way the lines are not strait and run into each other with basic black and white colors.
