Oil Cleaning Technical Intellectual Communications OCTIC

What is OCTIC? Oil – A Sticky Substance that Pollutes the Earth Cleaning – Cleaning up the Bad Stuff Technical – The Stuff of the Future Intellectual – Super Smart Communicator – Reports back to our Ships OCTIC cleans up the oil and then gives it to a ship that stores it for reusing it and taking it back.

How bad is oil? What is oil? -bp-oil-spill-still-affecting-marine-life Bing Says: thick greasy liquid: a liquid fat, obtained from plant seeds, animal fats, mineral deposits, and other sources, that does not dissolve in water and will burn. Oils are used for a wide variety of purposes, most commonly as lubricants and fuels and in cooking. Oil harms the ocean and kills fish and other animals. It damages shorelines and beaches.

The Design Oil and water enters through here. Motor Filtration of oil and water. This is where the oil is held.

The Entrance and the Oil Separation The oil goes into cones and then is concentrated down to the bottom. It leaks out the tubes, and the water stays at the top. Oil enters through here. The oil travels through the pipe. Water Level

The Storage and the Motor Oil is held here. Oil comes from funnels through here. Oil can be drawn out of OCTIC Through this pipe. Three motors help condense power, sending stronger bursts of energy out to help propel OCTIC. Power Box.

How would we affect the environment? We clean up oil We run on sustainable power We don’t pollute The fish and kelp will not get caught in our propellers The manufacturing process could put toxic chemicals into the air. The materials it will take to build all the boat
