International Walls Ms. Moody’s Sculpture Class 2011 By Sarah Anderson

In the beginning…… There was just Ms. Moody’s BIG idea. And A hundred or so boxes

Objective : Students were challenged to build a sculptural wall out of boxes and create a group design that communicated the environment of their culture. Students brainstormed and then completed research about the countries political, social and environmental aspects using the Culturegrams database in the library

The research results were amazing!

The boxes were painted white

The group designs were then enlarged an transferred to the wall of boxes Brazil Design Egypt Design

The backgrounds were painted and layers of cardboard were cut to add relief to the wall surface Jamaica Haiti

The walls are in progress…So stayed tuned for an update Japan
