Can you tell me the difference between a frog and a toad? Take a second to write down your answer. When you are done, click on each picture to discover if you were right!

Frogs Two bulging eyes Strong, long, webbed hind feet that are adapted for leaping and swimming Smooth slimy skin Generally prefer moister environments. Lay eggs in clusters. Click the star to send you back to the previous page.

Toads Stubby bodies with short hind legs for walking instead of hopping. Warty and dry skin. Generally prefer dryer environments. Paratoid or poison glands behind the eyes. Toads tend to lay eggs in long chains. Click on the star to go to the Introduction page.

Introduction In this WebQuest you will become an expert on Salientia. Before we move on, it is important for you to know, that Toads actually are Frogs! However, they do have some differences, and that is what you are going to learn all about in this WebQuest. You can read all about Salientia by taking a look at this website: Salientia: a classification of zoological class of Amphibians. You will be uncovering information about the life cycle, anatomy, interesting facts, and the similarities between frogs and toads, plus much more!
