AGENDA: - The 2 nd Special Meeting of the USC December 7 th, How to get involved in the USC
2 nd Special Meeting of the USC December 7 th, Affiliation Agreement 7.2 Spoke / Common Space Renovation For Approval: UCC Enhancing Common Space Motion 7.3 Health Plan / Dental Plan For Approval: Health Plan Motion Information Campaign Motion Registered Interested Party Motion Dental Plan Motion Information Campaign Motion Registered Interested Party Motion
Affiliation Agreement The Huron University College Student Council (HUCSC), King’s UCSC, and Brescia UCSC operate very differently than constituency councils on main campus Student council structure is different, college administration structure is different, and fee’s structure is different
Affiliation Agreement Student Fee Structure King’s students pay base $77/ student for the KUCSC Huron students pay base $87/ student for the HUCSC Brescia students pay base $50/ student for the BUCSC In addition, there are extra fees on top of this such as King’s students pay $50/ student towards the Student Life Centre or $2.2 million dollars to date.
Affiliates currently pay 100% of all USC Fees and 100% of capital and UCC Fee. In the current structure, the affiliate student councils feel as though the affiliate students are over charged and under served. Affiliate students have access to all services on main campus and vice versa Affiliation Agreement Student Fee Structure
A different USC student council fee schedule for affiliate students, in recognition that our use of services is different than Main Campus students. The ability for BUCSC, HUCSC and KUCSC to decline to participate in USC-initiated student fee referendums, and therefore not have affiliate students assessed those fees. Expectations for USC service levels to HBK students if we were assessed fees differently than Main Campus Students. Affiliation Agreement Future Proposal
