Lab Scenario A.Datum Corporation is now ready to add the existing office computers to the newly installed SBS 2008 server. You verify that the client machines meet minimum requirements and join them to the SBS domain, configuring them for remote desktop session and remote assistance. A.Datum Corporation needs the fax service in the SBS server configured, shared and access assigned to the appropriate users. Some users need Office Outlook 2007 configured on their client machines to work with the Exchange Server. Some users need to have access to other user’s machines. You must ensure that users’ MyDocuments are redirected to keep a copy on the server. You are asked to make the new network printer available to all office staff.

Lab Review What does the client advisor tool do? Can a client computer be joined to the SBS network without requiring administrative privileges? What administrative tasks on the client computer can be performed from the SBS Console? How can a printer be made available to all network clients? Where can incoming faxes be stored?

Module Review Deploying and managing client computers, shared printers and fax are essential on the Microsoft Windows Small Business Server 2008 network. In this module you learned to manage the most common tasks required to connect client computers, configure access to printers and fax, and troubleshoot device connectivity issues.
