STEM Academy Extracurricular Activities Each student is to participate in at least one extra-curricular activity. There are many options: Band, Choir, Orchestra Academic UIL Science Fair CyberPatriots eCybermission Athletics Robotics Theater Art Clubs

STEM Academy Community Service Requirements STEM students are to complete annual community service hours, as follows: 6 th grade – 5 hours 7 th grade – 10 hours 8 th grade – 10 hours Faculty will organize a few service opportunities during the year for students to participate in collectively, while representing STEM Academy. STEM Academy Early Dismissal Conferences Typically reserved for students who are struggling in an area of academia Initiated by the Teacher Provide a valid Need to schedule a conference? the teacher directly the grade level team directly

STEM Academy How you can help… STEM Advisory Board – need one business representative for each category: Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics Participate in STEM Parent Meetings, generally two a semester Identify corporate/business sponsors and mentors to enrich our program Engineering Festival, Career Day, Field Day Active membership in Nimitz PTA Volunteer – field trip chaperone
