Discrimination exists at various interacting levels: Structural: physical, legal and political structures Cultural: stereotypes, ‘jokes’, media products Institutional: policies, selection procedures ‘normal’ practices of the police, educational establishments, government agencies, workplace, etc Personal: behaviours, attitudes, harassment, bullying and in extreme cases hate crimes
